Health Emergency Initiative Announces Exciting Collaboration with United States Embassy in Nigeria

The Health Emergency Initiative, HEI has announced a significant new collaboration with the United States Embassy/Mission in Nigeria.

Executive Director of HEI, Paschal Achunine, noted that the partnership builds on a fruitful courtesy visit 14 months ago, where HEI, alongside esteemed partners from the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and LFR International from Michigan, USA, met with embassy officials.

According to Achunine, the collaboration aims to train cohorts from the American Corner, as well as hundreds of secondary school students, teachers, and youth in vital life-saving skills such as CPR, First Aid, and other prehospital care techniques, utilizing advanced technology.

“We are excited about this partnership and the impact it will have on our communities,” said Achunine. “With God’s grace, we are confident that this initiative will further enhance our transformative efforts as changemakers throughout the country, leveraging technology to expand our outreach.”

Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy, Julie McKay, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “This partnership between LFR International and the Health Emergency Initiative is crucial in enhancing emergency response capabilities in Nigeria.”

This initiative aims to significantly improve the chances of survival for emergency victims across Nigeria. It also reflects HEI’s commitment to improving health emergency response and training across Nigeria, empowering the next generation with essential life-saving skills.
